Brinkerhoff Family History Blog

The purpose of this blog was initially for a class of mine at BYU. Now, it is a source of genealogical information for the Brinkerhoff Family. I update it occasionally and use the information frequently because of my love for genealogy!

Take a look around. And thank you for visiting!

James Calvin Brinkerhoff Census Records

James Calvin (49) lived until 13 July 1946, since the 1940 census was destroyed, I first searched the 1930 census. I found that he was the head of the house and lived in St. Louis Missouri with his wife Flora Ellen Dain (45) and four children; Madge (22), James M (14) and Howard W (13). His occupation at the time was a Mill Wright in the Foundry industry.

I couldn't find anything for the 1920 census, but searched Evert V. Pearson because in 1910, James Calvin and his family lived with Evert, his brother-in-law.

In the 1910 census, James Calvin and his family lived in Indiana with Evert V. Pearson (32) and his family; Netter F. Pearson (30), Walter D. Pearson (2) and Genevieve Pearson (8 months). In 1910 James Calvin and Flora Ellen had another child living with them, Myra Lucille (1), but she passed away soon after.

In 1900, James Calvin was living on the United States military base; Sancti Spiritus Barracks, Cuba, Military and Naval Forces. James was 20 years old at this time. He was a private in the infantry in the "K" company and 2nd Region.
